This family bought their house back in 2013 but did a major kitchen renovation in 2015. The only problem? Even with a brand-new kitchen, their cabinets were still overflowing. The family hadn't fully worked out how to make the new space function like they needed. And with a 3-year-old and a 2-year-old... they really needed it to function at its best.

Before we began, the client took some time to envision her life and her space the way she wanted it to be. That really helped her focus and get inspired. It's a crucial step because it acts as a filter through the rest of your day. You can ask yourself, "does this item fit into my ideal life?"

Because the kitchen holds so much stuff, it’s nearly impossible to take everything out at once. Instead, we took out one category at a time and went through each.

THE DISCARD

After that, we put it all back! By the time I left, it felt like an entirely different kitchen. The counters were clear, the items nearly halved, and the space felt so peaceful.
